Little did we imagine 10 years ago, at the start of our journey reclaiming vintage industrial lighting, that we would see our light fixtures feature on the big screen. But it makes perfect sense! We started Loomlight with a simple aim - to save quality light fixtures from hitting the scrap heap. In our minds, the industrial light fixtures of the mid 20th century are designed and manufactured so well, they are ideal for repurposing today in modern interiors and for making dazzling appearances in TV and film.

We were delighted to start watching season 2 of Silo on Apple TV+ recently and see our industrial fixtures throughout the set. Silo is a dystopian story set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity lives in a giant underground silo, believing strict rules protect them from a toxic and ruined surface, but secrets and the truth about the silo begin to emerge. Metal light fixtures throughout the set design was an essential part of the plot to set the scene, where the characters live in a very unnatural underground scenario.
We supplied a variety of industrial fixtures for season 1 which have been reused in season 2. From long metal cage tube lights, caged bulkheads and industrial pendant lights - the lights are perfectly at home setting the scene, illuminating a world of industry, grit, and purpose.
