Drifters Kitchen & Bar - Quincy, USA

We’re always excited to see where our vintage industrial lighting ends up—but this one really made us smile. Our 4ft aluminium retro tube lights, reclaimed from decommissioned ships, recently found a new home at Drifters Kitchen & Bar in Quincy Center, Massachusetts.
Designed by the talented team at Emporium Design, this neighbourhood bar blends retro-inspired interiors with a subtle tribute to Quincy’s shipbuilding legacy. It’s a space that tells a story—not just of present culture, but of the city itself.
We were especially thrilled to see our lights used here. Originally built for life at sea and salvaged from decommissioned ships, they’ve now been restored in our Leicestershire workshop and brought back to a city where many of those ships may well have begun their journey. It feels like a quiet homecoming—a fitting nod to the past through the lens of thoughtful, modern design.

Now suspended over the dining areas, the lights provide a functional and atmospheric glow, perfectly suited to commercial bar lighting. The clean lines of the glass tubes and aluminium casing complement the raw materials and layered textures found throughout the space. It is a perfect example of how bar lights can do more than illuminate - it can help tell a story.

If you're working on a hospitality interior design project and looking for bar lights, commercial bar lighting, or something with genuine character, take a look at our reclaimed industrial lights. We also manufacture lights, so if you have a bespoke design in mind, we can help bring that vision to life. Just get in touch and we'd be happy to discuss your project further.
